Hello Sydney! Are you ready to sway with the rhythm of the season? It’s that time of the year again when we embrace our colourful traditions, tune into some foot-tapping music, and join the vibrant whirl of Garba and Dandia. Yes, you’ve guessed it right! The Gujarati Samaj of New South Wales is all set to host the most grand and exciting Garba/ Dandia events of the year 2023.
First up on the calendar, we have ‘Garbe Ghoome-2023’ featuring the melodious tunes of Parth Oza. The event is scheduled for the 16th of September 2023. Let’s come together at the Billbergia Indoor Sports Centre, located at Camellia in Rosehill, right opposite the Rosehill Racecourse. It’s a day when we’ll twirl, sway, clap, and move in unity, celebrating our rich culture and traditions.
Next, we look forward to ‘Radhiyali Raat-2023’ on the 29th of October 2023 with the enchanting music of Sanat Pandya & Maharshi Pandya. The venue remains the same, the Billbergia Indoor Sports Centre, a place that will resonate with the infectious energy and joy of dance.
These Garba/ Dandia events serve as a platform to not only enjoy our traditional folk dances but also to strengthen our community ties. It’s a chance to don our colourful traditional attires, revel in the festive spirit, meet old friends, make new ones, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
