The Gujarati Samaj of NSW recently organized a spectacular event titled “An Evening with Ankit Trivedi” on Friday, 14th July 2023, at The Granville Center in Granville, NSW. Ankit Trivedi, a renowned Gujarati language poet, writer, columnist, and emcee from Gujarat, India, was the star of the show.
Ankit Trivedi, born on 9th March 1981, has made significant contributions to the world of literature. He has written a collection of ghazals called “Gazal Purvak” and a collection of songs called “Geet Purvak.” His talent and dedication were recognized by the Indian National Theatre in Mumbai when he received the prestigious 2008 Shayda Award for his contribution to Gujarati Ghazal. Additionally, he has been honoured with the Takhtasinh Parmar Prize, Yuva Gaurav Puraskar, and the Yuva Puraskar. In 2019, he was bestowed with a D.Lit. by Gujarat, further solidifying his influence and impact on the Gujarati language.
